New hot and hot water network with biomass boilers in Roitegui

The town of Roitegui, belonging to the Municipality of Arraia-Maeztu and located in the mounts of Iturrieta (Álava), has opted for the installation of a municipal network of heat supply and sanitary hot water with biomass boilers that has allowed a remarkable energy saving for the 20 homes and the town hall that make up the population.

Roitegui is located in an environment with important forested masses, a situation that enables the generation of heat through a system that uses biomass as previously treated, chipped and dried.

Through the new district heating installation, the town of Roitegui has achieved greater energy independence with a neutral balance of CO2 and considerable savings in costs of obtaining, producing and transporting energy. Advantages that have resulted in significant savings for the inhabitants of the town.
