ENTREPRENEURS BIOMASS EXPOBIOMASA IDEAS

The Spanish Association of Energy Valorization of Biomass (AVEBIOM) will develop during this 2018 a series of informative actions to professionals and citizens of Valladolid, city where it celebrates EXPOBIOMASA, in order to encourage the sustainable use of bioenergy in cities.

The purpose is to publicize the state of implementation of bioenergy, as a source of sustainable and renewable energy more, as well as give the keys to guide citizens to comply with new legislation and know the trends of the energy market in terms of this source of energy directly related to the policies of Circular Economy, Bioeconomy, Energy Efficiency, Environment and Climate Change.

The Circular Economy is the new economic paradigm, in which the raw materials used to create a product can be used again when the useful life of the product ends, in the creation of another new product, that is, the concept of waste disappears to become a new resource, which will be energetic in our case. Hundreds of companies have already implemented Circular Economy policies, redesigning their products and value propositions to be profitable both in the present and in the future.

The mentioned informative actions are part of the Grants program granted by the City Council of Valladolid for Projects of Promotion of the Circular Economy in the municipality of Valladolid in 2018, promoted by Agency of Innovation and Economic Development of Valladolid. More than twenty projects have been selected, and within this pioneering call, in the near future, the 4 and 5 in May, the Second Edition of Circularweekend will be held, another of the selected programs, in which through presentations, workshops and Advice is about solving challenges and launching new projects.
