After the day organized by the Finnish ambassador in Spain, Tiina Jortikka-Laitinen, which was called "Biomass", she considered the possibility of making a technical visit to her country to learn first-hand the details of the successful business models with biomass of the Finns: especially in use, techniques of quality control and use of chips for thermal use as well as the efficient management and technology in District Heating with biomass.

 "Finland reached the goal proposed by the European Union six years in advance, since in 2014 consumption of renewable energy production reached 38,7%", Ambassador Jortikka-Laitinen said that biomass is the main source of renewable energy production in her country.

MIKSEI, which is the economic development company in the city of MIKELI, has been in charge of organizing this technical trip for professionals in the biomass sector. Inseltrade, consulting firm specialized in commercial relations with Finland, AVEBIOM (Spanish Association of Energy Valorization of Biomass in Spain) and the Cluster de la Biomassa de Catalunya, have collaborated in preparing a complete program that allows professionals who attend the trip to learn the secrets of Finnish achievement.

We will visit District Heating, biomass plants, storage centers, boiler plants, thermal installations in industries and universities. In addition you can have personal interviews with professionals and companies not only companies in Mikeli and Helsinki but throughout Finland.

The trip is planned for the first week of June. 5 leaves on Tuesday and returns on Friday 8 day.
