El savings in energy consumption conventional approach to reduce current expenditure and the application of energy efficiency criteria to walk towards sustainability, are some of the principles that have inspired the idea of sharing among all the health, welfare, educational and sports buildings settled next to the Boni Laskurain street a single heating boiler and hot water powered by biomass.
Basically it consists of a boiler fueled by biomass, an abundant energy source in Euskadi that comes from surplus forest exploitation, which could be installed in the basements of Agorrosin Gunea together with the equipment of the sports facility. From there, a piped network that would supply hot water and heating to Agorrosin Gunea, the San Martin Agirre educational centers, the two Ipintza institute buildings, Martinez de Irala, the Aransgui center, the Health Center and the Retirement Home.
The objective is to save consumption, in many of these centers they have municipal subsidies to deal with heating bills, and to the energy revaluation of forest surpluses that are more sustainable than other energy sources.
