When there is a temperature gradient between different parts of a Seebeck plate, voltage is generated. To achieve this difference, we use a ventilation for the cooling of the plate, which in turn will serve for the forced convection of the heating air, while the heating of the other surface of the plate comes from the combustion reaction that occurs in the inside of the stove.
From the storage hopper the burning ashtray is supplied automatically by gravitational operation, with a maximum autonomy of 18 h. On the other hand, the stove has two independent air flows, on the one hand, there are gases intended to carry out the combustion reaction, and on the other hand, the heating air that will serve to heat the cabin where it is installed. stove.
The stove has an 12 V battery, where part of the energy 20 W produced by the Seebeck plates is stored. The other part of said energy is used to generate the movement of the fans that the stove includes. The battery is used to power a USB output of 5 V, and / or an auxiliary output of 12 V. The electric current that is generated is approximately 2 amps, using one ampere to run two fans, which will boost the air from convection, while the remaining current is stored in the battery for later reuse. A performance of 85% is achieved.
Currently one of the main utilities of this team is focused on rural areas without electricity.
Shelters and spaces in which in addition to needing a source of heat require a contribution of electrical energy. Currently, 17 teams are working in forest shelters in the Valencian Community, which provide heat for forest agents and at the same time electric power for their communication equipment.
Another of the main advantages of this equipment, since it does not present any type of electronic component, is that it does not need any technical assistance service for its maintenance or start-up, since it lacks mechanisms for its regulation, which reduces costs of maintenance and services of spare parts and start-up.
