Madrid: 23 million euros for renewable thermal systems in companies and the public sector

The Community of Madrid will announce a new aid line of 22.810.945 euros so that companies and the public sector can install renewable thermal systems.

The call will be published in the spring of 2022 and will be carried out through an incentive program for private companies and another aimed at the public sector, which will allow the start-up of biomass, solar thermal, geothermal, ambient energy ( aerothermal and hydrothermal) or heating and cooling microgrids of less than 1 MW of power. Once opened, it will be valid until December 31, 2023.

Companies will be able to obtain aid of between 35 and 50% of the eligible cost to change their old polluting system for a sustainable one that uses clean energies such as the sun, the earth or biomass to generate heat or cold.

In the case of a public entity such as a school, a hospital or a town hall, this percentage can reach 70%. 

For example, for a biomass boiler system that costs about 17.000 euros, with this line a company could receive a subsidy of up to 4.500 euros, while an institution could reach up to 12.500.

El residential sector It has a specific section intended to finance renewable thermal systems. With an item of 13,2 million euros, so far there have been 1.189 requests for a value of 6,4 million euros, so 52% of the allocation is still available.
