The productivity of the machine also depends on its maintenance.

The horizontal crusher is a very productive piece of equipment, capable of processing a wide variety of materials: branches, trunks, organic material, pallets and many more.. The productivity of the machine also depends on its maintenance.

  1. INSPECT YOUR EQUIPMENT EVERY DAY

Before starting work and after finishing work, walk around the equipment and check if there are abnormal elements, such as hydraulic leaks that could cause major problems if not fixed right away, paint coming off the crusher frame or near the bolts can be a sign of trouble.

  1. REMOVES RESIDUE MATERIAL FROM DRUM AND COOLING SYSTEM

Periodically pressure washing or blowing out the machine allows you to catch future problems that may be covered by debris.  Clean the radiatorblowing any debris from the air intake grills and around the hydraulic components to allow heat to dissipate.

  1. SEPARATES MATERIAL TO REDUCE CONTAMINANTS

Contaminants, such as small iron parts, nails or other non-organic elements can cause excessive deterioration of the racks or the drumIt is important to remove them immediately. Heavier contaminants reaching the bottom of the pile can be avoided with more precise pickup with a rotating grapple. Shaking the waste well before putting it in the crusher reduces dirt and stones reaching the drum.

  1. DO PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE REGULARLY

Lubricates the screws in the crushing area, the loading and unloading belt and all the parts that move during the work of the crusher. Check often the level of fluids and filters and also that all the belts have tension.

  1. REPLACE WORN PARTS WHEN NECESSARY

Hammers or knives, screens, bedknives and wear plates are the parts that wear the most. Using these parts, for example hammers, longer than recommended can cause damage much more expensive than the cost of replacement. In addition, due to the lack of maintenance of these parts, productivity drops considerably.

  1. A GOOD STABLE OPERATOR

It is preferable not to change the operator of the machine much, in order to be able to recognize changes in the work, for example, a vibration or a noise. The operating life of the machine is also often extended.

VERMEER, which will be in @Expobiomasa, has redesigned the HG4000 horizontal crusher; offering powerful performance. It is equipped with a 399,7 kW CAT diesel engine, a Series III duplex drum, a feed system that easily accommodates a wide variety of materials.
