26.000 foresters visit the last edition of ELMIA WOOD in Sweden

FORESTRY BIOMASS FIREWOOD
Elmia Wood, one of the most important forestry fairs in the world, has closed its last edition on June 4 in the Swedish town of Jönköping with a good reception from the public...

Elmia wood this year has received 25.885 visitors from dozens of countries in a still complex situation to travel and with a considerable decrease in exhibiting firms

The conferences and debates developed during the 3 days that the fair has lasted have focused on predicting the value of sustainable forests in the future and how innovative forestry will affect them. The debates between forest owners and social organizations have been very intense in their search for meeting points that allow them to work so that the forests are prepared to meet the future demands of society.

What they do agree on is that the forest is the backbone of the rural economy and has a crucial role in the green transition.

Bioenergy has had a prominent place in this fair for years. This year, exhibitors of biomass boilers say that suddenly many consumers who chose heat pumps are returning to combustion technology using solid biofuels such as pellets or forest chips.

AVEBIOM collaborates in the promotion of this fair since 2006. In this edition, the association, together with the official agent Travel Pyme, has accompanied 20 professionals. The next edition of Elmia Wood is expected to be held in 2025.
