The Red of Heat with Biomass of Aranda de Duero will take advantage of the surplus energy of the Michelin factory

Heat network in Aranda de Duero

The company REBI, promoter of the Red de Calor de Aranda de Duero, has reached an agreement with the Michelin company so that the biomass project can take advantage of the excess heat of the electric cogeneration plant located in the industrial plant of Michelin dedicated to the manufacture of tires. The resulting heat will be conducted through the Heat Network so that it can be used in the heating and hot water systems of the connected dwellings.

It is another example of hybridization and energy efficiency that can be carried out in cities that have urban heat networks, allowing the integration of different thermal energy sources.

This District Heating advances according to the schedule of work in its development by the city. 300 customers are already in the distribution network of biomass thermal energy through which hot water circulates at 90 degrees centigrade.
