Biomasa Forestal, the main producer of pellets in Spain, has just launched the Innova Biomass contest. Its objective is to promote and develop innovative projects of real application in the pellet industry. The initiative is mainly aimed at graduates with knowledge in some of the areas in which the project needs to be focused, ranging from marketing and internet advertising to things and mobile applications. The deadline for the admission of applications is the September 10.
Innova Biomass focuses on the improvement of production processes and consumer experience and seeks novel alternatives. It is thus about "promoting the development of young entrepreneurial projects through the available business resources, making available data regarding the production and sales process". Those of real application related to seven specific areas will be selected.
The areas cover marketing, advertising and consumer experience; the use of technology to manage surpluses or simplify and improve the performance of internal / external logistics; internet of things; artificial intelligence; mobile apps; big data to better understand the customer or identify consumption patterns; and robots to simplify some task, such as internal logistics in the plant.
Young, innovative and technological project
The contest is aimed at young graduates with knowledge in any of the areas on which the project needs to be centered. Students who have approved more than 80 percent of the credits and who have already acquired knowledge in said sections may also participate.
The award for the winning person will consist of a minimum contract of six months, the possibility of testing the project in the pellet factory, personalized advice from Biomass Forestal, the promotion through the company's media and the possibility of expanding the professional network of contacts with the interaction with other participants, mentors and company personnel.
