It is a modular system that allows practically any space to be installed to locate a pellet silo. A new solution to store pellets taking full advantage of the available space is the bet of Uniwok Ibérica in Expobiomasa 2017.
The modules measure 75 x 75 cm and 30 cm height, they are plastic and can adopt different configurations depending on the existing space, in the form of rectangle, T, U, etc, up to 5 m height. All the modules are connected to each other by a system of steel pipes that converge in a single outlet manifold to the boiler. The combustion equipment must have a suction feeding system to be able to connect to the Uniwok silo.
A switching system integrated by a switchboard, a compressor and electro-pneumatic valves opens and closes the pellet aspiration of each module depending on the availability of material at all times. The control unit can control between 6 and 12 modules, but the pellet aspiration occurs only one at a time, thus avoiding load losses. The bottom of the silo is finished with other parts called Blind modules, responsible for creating drop slopes towards the suction inlets.
The system ensures a real emptying of all the pellets contained in the silo without hardly forming fines.
