New heat networks with renewable energies and extensions of the existing ones of more than 1 MW are subsidized

MITECO publishes ORDER TED/707/2022, of July 21, with the first call for aid for heat network projects with renewable energies of more than 1 MW, endowed with 100 million euros.

Current aid for heat networks with renewable energies

The call opens on September 26 and ends on October 28, 2022. The aided actions must be completed by October 31, 2025.

The new call will subsidize the construction of new generation plants that exclusively use renewable energy sources and new distribution networks with connections to consumption centers (T1-type action); the expansion or replacement of an existing generation plant with equipment that uses exclusively renewable energy sources, including those that remain unsubstituted (action type T2); and the expansion of the distribution network and the existing connections in installations that exclusively use renewable energy sources (action type T3).

A good time to increase the number of biomass heating networks

AVEBIOM is preparing a new report on the state of heat networks in Spain, which will be available in October 2022.
