Ferroli will set up a line this year in Burgos to manufacture 6.000 biomass stoves per year.

In total, 1,5 million euros will be invested and a dozen new jobs will be created.

The plant will begin to assemble a watertight model that is developed entirely in Burgos and another range of cast iron boilers in the middle of the year. Although the brand has already been marketing this type of stove in Spain for years, the goal is to manufacture nearly 6.000 units each year of this sealed model, which prevents the air in the home and the combustion from coming into contact, which redounds in greater security.

«The consumption of biomass is increasing a lot in recent times. We believe that it is a very good option for the future of Burgos”, explains Víctor Gómez, director of the factory.

“Technologies are changing. Before everything was diesel and gas but now we are incorporating new products. We have to adapt," confesses the director of Ferroli on the incorporation of pellet equipment into the Burgos factory.

In total, 1,5 million euros will be invested and a dozen new jobs will be created. In the meantime, and until the energy and raw materials storm subsides, Ferroli maintains an ERTE open for a good part of its workforce. Management and unions agreed to extend the file a few weeks ago, which affects a good part of the 175 people, who may be included when required.
