Six social premises of rural Ames use biomass as fuel

The social premises of Biduído, Piñeiro, Augapesada, Tarroeira, Cruxeiras and Ameixenda have biomass heating systems, a combustion mode that allows a reduction in polluting emissions compared to other products such as diesel.

The replacement of the boilers meant an investment higher than the 18.000 euros, distributed over the last two years, since the Ames City Council opted last year for the use of biomass in Piñeiro, Biduído, Augapesda and Tarroeira, leaving this exercise the facilities in the social centers of Cruxeiras and Ameixenda.

This year's investment exceeded seven thousand euros, but Ames received about four thousand European funds. The City Council plans to opt for this help line in the 2018 to take the biomass to other municipal facilities.
