During 2016, 35.815 pellet stoves were installed in Spain, an 22% more than the previous year, which represents a new sales record. In total there is a total of 175.065 pellet stoves installed up to 2016. The tendency of commercialization of these stoves, that has tilted towards the channel of the big warehouses of bricolaje, continues to the rise with equipment each time of lower power, but more technified. The average power of the stoves marketed in 2016 has been 11,3 kW.
However, the number of boilers installed last year was lower than in 2015: those with less than 50 kW, 16% under, while those with 50 kW or more (industrial and collective facilities) registered a decrease of 15% .
