By Óscar Espinosa Villarreal. It is curious to observe how in certain occasions what seems an end, is actually a principle. That's what happened to Oscar, my son and partner for ten years in that interesting project of Contour, the center of foresight and debate that, together with my daughter Jimena we formed and that has stopped working recently. I say the above, since almost simultaneously with the closure of Contour, Óscar has brought to our attention a project that is shaping up to be something of the most interesting thing that I have done throughout my life.
This is Pellet Mexico (www.pellet.mx), a company that has just been formed with the participation of two endearing Spanish friends of Óscar (and now mine) of many years ago, who have started up in Spain, Ecuador and Colombia interesting projects to process what is known in scientific jargon as solid biomass, which is nothing but the agricultural and forestry waste (mainly) converted into a solid biofuel called pellet, destined to the substitution of the industrial consumption of diesel and LP gas, in an effort to diversify the clean energy market in our country.
