New Heat Network of Lugo

The City Council of Lugo has installed a biomass-powered heat network for eight municipal facilities, located in the park of Frigsa, with an investment of 870.000 euros and an annual saving of 57% on fuel consumption against the use of fossil fuels (gas oil, gas, ...) which are also polluting and affect climate change.

The installation works of this new system that will provide heat to the Casa das Asociados, the Casa Clara Campoamor, the Luis Gorgoso Pavilion, the Tennis Club, the Interactive Museum of the History of Lugo (MIHL), the Frigsa library and the Gustavo Freire Auditorium.

According to the calculations of Lugo City Council, this system will allow a saving of 83.000 euros per year in the bill for fuel consumption, so that the investment will be amortized in a decade.
