Several Finnish companies presented the latest news related to the biomass sector in Madrid, at a conference organized by the Finnish ambassador to Spain, Tiina Jortikka-Laitinen, which was called "Biomass".
It was precisely the ambassador who opened the day, remembering that the European Union has set in the 38% the consumption of renewable energy production for the 2020 year, something that meets Finland from 2014. "Finland reached the goal proposed by the European Union six years in advance, since in 2014 consumption of renewable energy production reached 38,7%", he said.
Jortikka-Laitinen said that biomass is the main source of renewable energy production in his country. In this way, he alluded to that the cost of hydraulic energy is 5%, while wind only reaches 0,1% of total consumption.
